Armed Suspects Flee Police, Injuring Officer and Soldier in West Bank
Two armed suspects fled from police early Monday morning near Adam Square in the Benjamin region, leading to a pursuit that resulted in a car accident and injuries to a police officer and a soldier. The incident began when forces observed a vehicle stopped on the roadside with two armed individuals nearby. Upon noticing the forces, the suspects entered the vehicle and fled.
The pursuit took place on Route 60, during which the suspects endangered other road users, collided with a police vehicle, and caused an accident. The injured officer and soldier were evacuated for medical treatment. Shots were fired at the suspects' vehicle's tires during the chase, but they continued to flee towards the Palestinian village of al-Ram.
Police and IDF forces are currently conducting searches and operations to locate the suspects. A cordon has been placed around al-Ram, and forces are searching the area, designated as Area B. The commander of the Judea and Samaria (Shai) district praised the forces' alertness, stating it prevented a larger incident. The investigation has been assigned to the Counter-Crime Unit in the Samaria region, and all leads are being examined as the manhunt continues.
