Ashkelon Father Charged with Sexual Assault of Daughter Over Five Years

A 41-year-old man from Ashkelon has been indicted for sexually assaulting his daughter repeatedly over approximately five years, beginning when she was 12 years old. The indictment, filed Thursday at the Beersheba District Court by attorney Ira Weimon Krikon of the Southern District Prosecutor's Office, details that the father also committed acts of violence against his partner and two other children.

According to the indictment, in 2021, after consuming alcohol, the father entered his daughter's room at night and began touching her. When she screamed for her mother, he struck her. Following this incident, he regularly approached her once every day or two, sometimes naked, to touch her. On some occasions, he offered her 100 shekels to perform oral sex, which she refused.

After the daughter turned 15, the father raped her while they were alone in the apartment and continued to do so once or twice weekly. When she resisted, he physically assaulted her until she stopped resisting, causing bodily injuries. The father also sexually harassed her through WhatsApp messages with repeated sexual propositions. He threatened to send an AI-generated nude image of her to her boyfriend and to publish it throughout Ashkelon.

The charges against the father include rape and indecent acts within the family, sexual harassment, threats, aggravated assault of a partner and minors, and assault of a minor. The prosecution has requested his detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings. The case is under investigation by the Ashkelon Police Department.
