Hezbollah Drone Attack Hits Israeli Engineering Vehicle in South Lebanon, IDF Responds with Artillery
During the night, Hezbollah militants launched an explosive drone that struck an unmanned Israeli engineering vehicle in the Ali Taher ridge area of southern Lebanon. The attack caused damage but no casualties, as the targeted vehicle was unmanned at the time. Israeli defense officials consider the drone strike a violation of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah. In immediate retaliation, IDF forces fired artillery towards the area in southern Lebanon from which the drone was launched, signaling that any attack on Israeli forces will be met with strong responses. Senior military commanders are currently deliberating additional measures to respond to this serious breach of the ceasefire by Hezbollah militants. A formal decision on the next steps is expected soon.
