Two More Arrested in Eldar Dayan Disappearance Investigation Amid Suspected Hit-and-Run

Two additional young men were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the disappearance of 23-year-old Eldar Dayan. Authorities believe Dayan and his friends were involved in a fight during which they allegedly tried to run over another group. The exact circumstances remain unclear and are under investigation.

The case has evolved from a missing person report to a criminal investigation, with suspicions that Dayan may be involved in a hit-and-run accident or another criminal act. Police are also exploring the possibility of a criminal kidnapping. Dayan has been missing for 13 days, and police currently believe he is alive and in hiding based on recent indications.

During the search efforts, a shirt possibly belonging to Dayan was found in Petah Tikva near the location where the vehicle he was last seen in was discovered about ten days ago. Meanwhile, a Beersheba court extended the detention of two of Dayan's friends by six days. They face charges of conspiracy and non-cooperation, with police stating their accounts contradicted evidence and that they withheld information from both police and family for nearly two weeks.

Bloodstains found in the vehicle are being tested to determine if they belong to Dayan. Investigators suspect Dayan and his friends were at a hotel in Tel Aviv before going to Yarkon Park, where the altercation occurred. Police are examining whether the fight led to an attempted kidnapping or another criminal incident. Despite many unanswered questions, police continue to pursue all leads aggressively and emphasize that all investigative directions remain open.
