Israeli Police Arrest Four Youths Over Violent Cinema Attack in Rehovot

A week after a violent assault on a cinema usher in Rehovot, Israeli police arrested four young men suspected of involvement in the attack. The incident occurred on Saturday night at a Rehovot movie theater during the screening of the film "Kupa Rishona". The usher had asked the group to stop smoking electronic cigarettes and causing disturbances during the film. In response, the usher was violently attacked and sustained facial injuries. He was evacuated by Magen David Adom teams to Kaplan Medical Center and hospitalized overnight.

Witness Amir, 31, who was attending the screening with his partner, described the youths as persistently smoking electronic cigarettes despite the usher's warnings, which also affected Amir's asthma. Police arrived after the suspects had fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining each suspect's role in the assault. Decisions on extending detention and filing charges will be made based on the investigation's findings.
