Four Teens Indicted for Violent Attack on Cinema Usher in Rehovot

A criminal indictment was filed on Wednesday against four teenagers suspected of assaulting a cinema usher in Rehovot. The Central District Police Prosecution Unit charged them with aggravated assault and criminal trespassing. Despite police requests for detention until the end of proceedings, the suspects were released under restrictive conditions.

During the investigation, the four youths were placed together in a holding cell equipped with recording devices. Their recorded conversation revealed admissions of violence against the usher, with one stating, "You hit him," and another admitting, "I really beat him up with kicks." A third claimed he said nothing and fled the scene.

The usher's mother expressed deep concern over the indictment, telling ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth that their fears have been confirmed and that her son will no longer work there due to the economic and psychological impact.

According to the indictment, the teenagers entered the cinema without tickets and smoked electronic cigarettes during the film, disturbing other viewers. When the 19-year-old usher asked them to stop and leave, they violently attacked him, kicking and hitting his face and body. The victim was hospitalized at Kaplan Medical Center with severe facial injuries, including a broken nose, eye hemorrhage, and wounds requiring stitches.

Attorney Yaron Forer, representing one of the suspects, stated they will review the evidence and respond in court.
