Young Man Attacked by 20 Teens in Eilat After Refusing Cigarette
A young man from Netanya was brutally assaulted by a group of about 20 teenagers in Eilat after he refused to give one of them a cigarette. The victim, named Nahum, was severely injured and taken by Magen David Adom paramedics to Yoseftal Medical Center in Eilat, where he was diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder, bleeding, and multiple bruises across his body. After initial treatment, he returned to his hometown of Netanya for further examination at Laniado Hospital and was later released, still suffering from his injuries.
Following the attack, Nahum filed a police complaint, prompting an investigation. The police quickly arrested six teenagers suspected of involvement in the violent incident. They were brought before the Eilat Magistrate's Court, which extended their detention but ordered them transferred to house arrest under restrictive conditions. Authorities plan to request an extension of their detention in a subsequent hearing.
The police continue to investigate the case thoroughly to identify all participants and ensure accountability. The incident has raised concerns about youth violence in Eilat and the broader region.
