Four Charged in Violent June Assault and Intimidation in Eilat
On June 18, four suspects arrived by car at a restaurant in Eilat where two victims and their friends were present. According to the indictment filed by the Eilat District Prosecution Unit on Wednesday, the suspects violently attacked one of the victims with punches and kicks. One suspect ordered the others to forcibly put the victim into the car. When a friend of the victim tried to intervene, he was also assaulted, suffering blows to his left eye, ear, and was choked. Another suspect continued to beat the first victim, causing injuries to his face, neck, and leg.
After the initial attack, one victim left the scene while a suspect followed him, threatening him by saying, "If you go to the police, you will see what happens," in an apparent attempt to intimidate. The second victim fled shortly after, pursued by another suspect who blocked his path with the car, grabbed him, and choked him. Together with another suspect, they tried to force him into the vehicle, assaulted him again, and stole his watch.
The indictment details the violent nature of the assault and the suspects’ efforts to intimidate the victims from reporting the crime to the police. The case is now before the court as the prosecution seeks to hold the four individuals accountable for the June attack in Eilat.
