An indictment and a request for detention until the end of the proceedings were filed today (Wednesday) against a 48-year-old Eilat resident, on charges of assaulting a 70-year-old elderly man at a bus stop in the city. According to the charges, the two had no prior acquaintance.
The incident occurred at the beginning of last week on Sderot HaTmarim, when, according to the findings, the suspect began cursing the elderly man for no apparent reason, pushed him forcefully, and caused him to fall to the ground.
