More Than 100,000 Join Tel Aviv Pride Parade, Marking Equality and Acceptance
Tel Aviv's Pride Parade came to a close after drawing about 120,000 participants, according to the organizers. The event, one of the largest public gatherings in the city, centered on celebration and a call for broader social acceptance.
Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai greeted the crowd and said the parade was a chance to mark the kind of reality people want to live in, one based on equality and sanity. He said that reality should be celebrated and fought for until it becomes real and tangible throughout Israel, every day of the year.
