Defense Minister Katz Orders No Renewal of Ban Against Tal Yinon Dradik

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed not to renew the military exclusion order against Tal Yinon Dradik after the military appeals committee accepted an appeal citing procedural flaws in issuing the order. The decision followed a security discussion held on Monday evening regarding the West Bank, attended by Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, heads of military intelligence and operations, the Central Command commander, the government coordinator for the territories, the Judea and Samaria police district commander, the defense minister’s military secretary Brigadier General Hisham Ibrahim, and representatives from the Shin Bet and security establishment.

During the meeting, Katz directed the Israel Defense Forces to prepare for the takeover of another refugee camp using the operational model applied in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur al-Shams camps. This model involves evacuating residents, clearing terror infrastructure, and maintaining a permanent IDF presence in the camps.

Regarding the exclusion order against Dradik, which was issued by Central Command Commander Major General Avi Blot based on Shin Bet recommendations, Katz decided not to renew it following the appeals committee ruling. Instead, he emphasized addressing the issue through alternative measures.
