Haifa Woman Arrested for Stealing Credit Card from Holocaust Survivor and Going on Shopping Spree

A 54-year-old woman from Haifa was arrested on suspicion of defrauding a Holocaust survivor in her 90s by stealing her credit card and making purchases worth thousands of shekels. According to police, the suspect initially stole the credit card while traveling with the victim. She then visited the survivor's home, impersonating a medical professional conducting health checks, during which she stole additional property. Subsequently, the suspect used the stolen credit card for a shopping spree.

Investigators from the Haifa police station conducted extensive inquiries that led to identifying and arresting the suspect. It was also revealed that the woman was under electronic monitoring at the time, which she allegedly violated while committing the offenses. The police intend to request an extension of her detention to continue the investigation.
