IDF Intercepts UAV Over Jordan Border for Second Consecutive Day Without Confirming Launch Origin

The Israeli Air Force intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near the Jordan border on Tuesday morning, according to an IDF spokesperson. The UAV did not cross into Israeli territory, and the source of its launch remains under investigation. No alerts were issued following the interception, in line with IDF policy.

This marks the second consecutive day the Air Force has had to intercept UAVs near the Jordan border. On Monday, just before 11:00 a.m., the IDF shot down two UAVs detected in the border area between Israel and Jordan. Similarly, those UAVs did not enter Israeli airspace, and their launch origin is still being examined. The IDF has yet to disclose where the UAVs intercepted on either day were launched from.

Jordan also reported intercepting two UAVs within its territory on Monday. Footage from the Eilat area documented one of these interceptions. Approximately 30 minutes before the IDF announced Monday’s UAV interceptions, a red alert was triggered in Kibbutz Kisufim near the Gaza border, which was later declared a false alarm by the IDF spokesperson.

About a week ago, the Israeli Air Force intercepted another UAV near the Syrian border, with the launch source also under investigation. To date, the IDF has not provided updates on the findings from these incidents.
