IDF Investigates Origin of Drone Intercepted Near Syrian Border

Three days after the Israeli Air Force intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near the Syrian border, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are still investigating who launched the drone. The incident occurred on Sunday evening, when the IDF shot down the UAV without sounding any alarms, following standard policy. The drone's origin remains unclear, and the IDF has ruled out Iran and the Houthi movement as responsible parties.

According to a military source familiar with the event, the IDF first confirmed the UAV was not an Israeli drone that had lost control before deciding to intercept it.
