Israel Faces Rising Temperatures and Intensifying Heat Stress Today
Today in Israel, temperatures are expected to rise slightly with a corresponding increase in heat stress levels. The morning will start with partly cloudy to clear skies, becoming clearer as the day progresses. The solar radiation index is forecasted to be very high to extreme, contributing to heavy to extreme heat stress in many regions.
The Mediterranean Sea will be choppy, with wave heights ranging from 50 to 90 centimeters. Temperature forecasts for major cities include Jerusalem at 18 to 31 degrees Celsius, Tel Aviv and Haifa both at 24 to 31 degrees, and Eilat reaching a high of 40 degrees Celsius. Other notable temperatures include Beersheba at 22 to 34 degrees and Tiberias at 23 to 36 degrees.
Residents are advised to take precautions against the intense sun exposure and heat, especially in areas experiencing extreme heat stress. The weather conditions are expected to persist throughout the day and into the night.
