18-Year-Old Dies in Deadly Collision Between Car and Bus Near Nir Eliyahu in Sharon

On September 24, 2024, a fatal traffic accident occurred on Road 5504 near Nir Eliyahu in the Sharon region, involving a private car and a bus. An 18-year-old male driver was trapped inside his vehicle and was rescued by fire and rescue teams using specialized hydraulic tools. Despite medical efforts, paramedics declared him dead at the scene due to severe injuries. Another 18-year-old passenger from the car sustained serious head and limb injuries, while the bus driver was lightly injured. Both injured individuals received on-site treatment from Magen David Adom paramedics and were transported to May Hospital for further care. Paramedics Noam Torem and Avichai Pinchasi reported arriving to find three casualties, including the unconscious trapped driver, and provided emergency medical assessments and treatment before hospital evacuation.
