18-Year-Old Dies in Severe Collision Between Private Car and Bus Near Nir Eliyahu
A fatal traffic accident occurred on road 5504 near Kibbutz Nir Eliyahu in the Sharon region on the evening of June 6, 2024. An 18-year-old driver in a private vehicle collided violently with a bus. Firefighters had to extricate the young man from the wreckage, finding him unconscious with severe head trauma. Despite extensive medical efforts by Magen David Adom paramedics and ZAKA volunteers, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The bus driver sustained minor injuries and was treated on-site before being transported to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba for further care. The Israel Police and traffic investigators arrived promptly, closing the road segment to collect evidence and determine the circumstances that led to the deadly crash.
