18-Year-Old Dies in Severe Collision Near Nir Eliyahu Involving Bus and Car
A fatal traffic accident occurred on Monday on Road 5504 near Nir Eliyahu, involving a private car and a bus. The 18-year-old driver of the car was trapped inside the vehicle with severe head injuries. Despite rescue teams' efforts, including prolonged extrication and resuscitation attempts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency medical teams also treated another 18-year-old passenger from the car who sustained head and limb injuries and was evacuated to the hospital in serious condition. The bus driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital for further care.
Paramedics Noam Torem and Avichai Pinchasi reported arriving to find three injured individuals, including the unconscious trapped driver. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to free the driver.
