Football Association Charges Ironi Tiberias Over Doping Allegations

The Israel Football Association has filed formal charges against Ironi Tiberias football club in connection with a doping scandal. The indictment includes three serious offenses: aiding the use of drugs and stimulants under aggravating circumstances, violating the association's regulations under aggravating circumstances, and failing to comply with a judicial institution's decision. This action follows an official complaint submitted by M.S. Ashdod's legal team, alleging Ironi Tiberias used prohibited doping substances ahead of their recent playoff match, which Ironi Tiberias won 3-0.

Approximately two weeks ago, the National Anti-Doping Agency suspended four players from Ironi Tiberias, David Kaltins, Guy Hadida, Niv Gottlieb, and Kendo Mamdo Samba, as well as the team's coach Eliran Hodeda, technical manager Chen Sol, and fitness coach Shlomi Vedrado. The association's prosecutor is now advancing the case, signaling a serious approach to doping violations in Israeli football.
