Arab Driver Questioned Over Hit-and-Run at Geha Junction After C14 Report
A 22-year-old Arab driver from Kafr Qasim was questioned under caution on Friday over an incident in which she struck a haredi protester at Geha Junction near Bnei Brak. The questioning followed a C14 report that she had been released the day before without being interrogated after the incident.
According to police, the suspect was questioned at the Bnei Brak-Ramat Gan police station on suspicion of assault causing injury, several traffic offenses, and causing a public nuisance. After the interrogation, she was released under restrictive conditions, and the investigation is continuing.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon during a protest at Geha Junction. Police said the driver was traveling near the demonstration area when she hit the haredi protester.
Medical teams were called to the scene and evacuated the injured man for treatment. His condition was described as moderate.
