IDF Kills Hamas Drone Squad Commander in Central Gaza Strike

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced the killing of Maam Eid, the commander of Hamas's drone unit in central Gaza, during an operation carried out on Saturday. According to the IDF spokesperson, Eid was responsible for manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) intended to target Israeli civilians and military forces. He previously led the drone squad in central Gaza and was involved in planning aerial terrorist attacks against Israeli troops.

The IDF stated that Eid had recently been working to rebuild Hamas's aerial capabilities, violating the ceasefire agreement. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire and will continue efforts to neutralize threats. Additionally, the IDF reported killing Fares Almazri, a head of a Hamas production unit, and Mohammed Abu Shakian, a senior operative in the Nukhba terror group, in separate strikes in northern Gaza last week.
