IDF Eliminates Hamas Security Commander in Gaza City Strike
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Sunday that it had eliminated Talal Mustafa Saleh Badawi, a commander in the military security department of Hamas's Gaza City brigade. The strike, which occurred on Friday, also killed another Hamas operative, Mumo Said Muhammad Hawari.
The IDF stated that the operation was conducted to neutralize an immediate threat, as the eliminated individuals had been advancing terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. They were also reportedly working to restore the organization's capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire.
Southern Command forces are deployed in the area and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threats, according to the IDF.
