IDF Confirms Eliminating Hamas Military Security Commander in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Wednesday the elimination of Talal Mustafa Saleh Badawi, a commander in Hamas's military security department for the Gaza City Brigade. Badawi was killed in an airstrike in Gaza two days prior, along with another operative named Mumu Said Muhammad Hawari.
According to the IDF, both operatives were involved in advancing terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. They were also reportedly working to restore the organization's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire.
The IDF stated that the strike was carried out to neutralize the immediate threat posed by the operatives. Southern Command forces are deployed in the area according to the agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threats, the IDF added.
