IDF Eliminates Hamas Drone Unit Commander in Central Gaza Strike
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Sunday that they killed Maam Eid, the commander of Hamas's drone unit in central Gaza, during an operation in the area the previous day. Eid was responsible for producing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) intended to target Israeli civilians and military forces. Previously, he led the drone squad in central Gaza and participated in planning attacks against IDF forces in the airspace.
Recently, Eid attempted to rebuild Hamas's aerial capabilities, violating the ceasefire agreement. The IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed in the region in accordance with the ceasefire and will continue operations to neutralize threats. The military spokesperson emphasized the ongoing commitment to removing any danger posed by Hamas's aerial units.
