Israeli Duvdevan Unit Arrests Two Gunmen Involved in West Bank Shooting Attack
Israeli Duvdevan Unit forces, under the command of the Samaria Brigade and guided by the Shin Bet, arrested two Palestinian gunmen involved in a shooting attack near the village of Tal earlier on Friday. The suspects, who were wounded during the attack, were taken to a hospital in the city of Nablus (Shechem) where the Duvdevan Unit apprehended them. They have since been transferred for further interrogation by Israeli security forces. Authorities have identified all individuals involved in the attack and are actively pursuing the remaining suspects.
The shooting incident resulted in the death of Captain Yuval Ezra, 27, from Herzliya, and security guard Benyahu Malat, who was protecting a group of hikers targeted by the assailants near the settlement of Havat Gilad. During the confrontation, one of the attackers seized Malat's weapon and opened fire on the civilians. Following the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced plans to convene the Defense Minister and the IDF Chief of Staff to discuss response measures. Netanyahu emphasized that Israel will act decisively against the terrorists and their supporters, vowing to prevent terror activities in Judea and Samaria from gaining ground.
