Suspected Attack in West Bank: Palestinians Seize Security Guard's Weapon and Open Fire, Two Injured

On Friday morning, at least two people were injured in a suspected attack in the West Bank after Palestinians seized a security guard's weapon at the Gilad Farm and fired towards Israeli civilians. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are operating in the area, imposing a siege on the village of Tal and the city of Nablus. The incident began when several Israeli hikers near the village of Tal and its mosque encountered Palestinians who attacked them. The local security guard responded but was disarmed by the Palestinians, who then opened fire.

This attack follows two stabbing incidents in the West Bank within hours on the previous day. Itamar Cohen, 51, a founder of agricultural farms in Judea and Samaria, was seriously injured in a stabbing attack near a fire scene close to the settlement of Elon Moreh, where two assailants were killed. Hours later, another suspected stabbing attack occurred in the northern Samaria area of Ganim, where a man was lightly injured and the attacker was neutralized.

Israeli emergency medic Israel Arbus reported that during fire security operations, civilians alerted them to a stabbing victim. They found a 51-year-old man with stab wounds and provided life-saving treatment, including stopping the bleeding. The victim was evacuated to the hospital in serious condition. Two Palestinians were neutralized at the scene of the first stabbing attack.
