Palestinian Gunman Opens Fire on Israeli Hikers in West Bank, One Injured
On Friday morning, a shooting incident occurred near the Gilad Farm area in the West Bank when a Palestinian assailant seized a security guard's weapon and fired at Israeli hikers, injuring one. According to initial reports, several Israelis were hiking near the village of Tal in the Samaria region when they encountered Palestinians who attacked them. The security officer from the Gilad Farm settlement intervened, but a Palestinian managed to grab his Tavor rifle and shot one of the hikers.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that troops are currently operating in the area, with many forces moving toward the scene. A closure has been imposed on the village of Tal and the city of Nablus (Shechem) at several entry points to contain the situation.
