Man Killed and Two Wounded in Shooting Near Gilead Farm in West Bank Clash

A man in his 30s was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting near Gilead Farm in the West Bank on Friday morning. The Israeli military classified the incident as a terror attack. The confrontation began when settlers hiking near Nablus clashed with Palestinians near a mosque on the outskirts of the village of Tal. A security guard from Gilead Farm responded to the scene. According to the settlers, one Palestinian seized the security guard's weapon and opened fire, injuring three Israeli civilians. The stolen weapon was later recovered by Israeli forces, who imposed a security cordon on Tal and Nablus with multiple checkpoints.

Magen David Adom reported that besides the fatality, two wounded men were evacuated by helicopter to the hospital; one, aged about 20, was seriously injured, and the other, around 25, was moderately wounded. Senior paramedic Aviel Mamlia described providing emergency care to the injured and attempting resuscitation on the unconscious victim, who was eventually declared dead. The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that four Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire during the incident, with four others injured, three critically.

This shooting is the third violent event in the area within 24 hours. The previous day, Itamar Cohen, a founder of agricultural farms in the West Bank, was stabbed near Elon Moreh while helping to extinguish a fire. The attacker was killed by a civilian at the scene. Later, another stabbing attack occurred in northern Samaria, with the assailant neutralized by Israeli forces.
