Netanyahu to Meet Trump in Washington Amid Rising Tensions with Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to visit Washington, D.C., on Monday for an official diplomatic trip at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump. During his visit, Netanyahu will meet with President Trump at the White House on Tuesday. Additionally, he will attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham, described by Netanyahu's office as a "friend of Israel." The Prime Minister's office clarified that no journalists will be allowed to accompany Netanyahu on his flight aboard the Wing of Zion aircraft.

This visit comes amid heightened alertness due to fears of escalating conflict with Iran. The U.S. military has reportedly conducted airstrikes in Iran for 13 consecutive nights, including a recent missile attack on the Revolutionary Guards' naval headquarters in Zibaknar near the Caspian Sea, causing damage. Israel is maintaining a high state of readiness, anticipating either a rapid deterioration or a controlled, gradual escalation in the coming days.

Israeli officials have been in communication with their American counterparts, who have warned of the need to prepare for potential escalation, though the timing remains uncertain.
