Netanyahu and Defense Minister Order Security Boost After West Bank Terror Attacks

Following a series of terror attacks in the West Bank, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to implement a range of security measures. These directives came after consultations with the security cabinet and top defense officials. Among the steps ordered were the demolition of the home of the terrorist involved in a morning attack near the village of Tal, intensified operations in villages identified as terror hotspots, and the collection of illegal weapons alongside revoking work permits.

Additional measures include reinforcing IDF forces throughout Judea and Samaria, separating traffic routes, and establishing checkpoints to enhance security. The government also decided to expedite the regulation of existing agricultural farms and the establishment of new ones in the area. Netanyahu and Katz expressed condolences to the family of Benyahu Malt, who was killed in the morning attack, and wished a full recovery to the injured.

Both leaders emphasized their support for security forces and settlers standing firm against terrorism. They stressed the importance of allowing security personnel to operate freely and with full force against terror threats, while avoiding any actions that could hinder their operations or divert them from their primary mission of protecting Israeli citizens and defeating terrorism.
