Netanyahu and Defense Minister Order Security Measures in West Bank After Terror Attacks

Following a series of terror attacks in the past day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the Israel Defense Forces to implement a range of security measures in the West Bank. This decision came after consultations with the security cabinet and senior defense officials. Among the steps ordered is the demolition of the home of the terrorist who carried out the attack near the village of Tal, where Benyahu Malt was killed. The security forces were also directed to conduct intensive operations in villages identified as terror hotspots, including weapons confiscation, revoking work permits, and other actions aimed at dismantling terror infrastructures in the area.

Additional measures include bolstering IDF forces throughout Judea and Samaria, separating traffic routes, setting up checkpoints, accelerating the regulation of existing farms, and establishing new ones. Netanyahu and Katz expressed condolences to the Malt family and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. They also reaffirmed support for security forces and settlers in the region. The statement emphasized the necessity of allowing security forces to operate freely and with full force against terrorism, urging the public to avoid any actions that might hinder their mission to protect Israeli citizens and defeat terror.
