Beitar Jerusalem Seeks Police Approval to Open Additional Stand for Conference League Match in Larnaca

Beitar Jerusalem is preparing for a crucial Conference League second qualifying round match against AEK Larnaca on Thursday. Approximately 150 Beitar fans traveled to Larnaca without tickets, hoping that local police will allow an additional stand to open for Israeli supporters. Currently, only 500 tickets have been allocated to Beitar fans, and the hosts have not sold all their tickets for the game. The club is negotiating with local authorities to facilitate more fans' attendance, with supporters promising to behave appropriately.

Some fans managed to buy tickets from AEK Larnaca supporters, though they understand they cannot bring club flags or scarves. Meanwhile, Beitar players Shon Weissman, Ziv Ben Shimol, and Daniel Vorko are fasting and unlikely to start the match. The club's chef, Asaf Sabach, traveled with the team and prepared special meals for the fasting players, including food for after the fast and during the game if needed.

The expected starting lineup includes Eugene Ansah, Omer Atzili, Yarden Shua, and Junovsku Kalu in attack, with Timothy Mozi on standby. Brian Karveli and Gil Cohen will start in defense, as Luka Gadrani remains in Israel for rehabilitation, alongside Adi Yona and Tomer Yosefi.
