Israeli Police Seek Public Help to Find Suspect in Benyahu Razi Murder

The Israeli Police issued an unusual public appeal on Wednesday afternoon seeking assistance in locating 17-year-old Abiyor Sasson from Jerusalem. He is wanted for questioning on suspicion of involvement in the murder of Benyahu Razi about ten days ago. Abiyor is the son of Linor Sasson, who is currently detained on suspicion of involvement in the case and obstruction of justice. According to the police, Abiyor was seen fleeing the murder scene wearing a white shirt and black pants. He is approximately 1.70 meters tall, with dark eyes and short black hair.

The police warned that aiding the suspect constitutes "assistance after the fact," punishable by up to three years in prison. They urged anyone with information about his whereabouts or any relevant details to contact the Israeli Police emergency number 100 immediately.

Benyahu Razi was fatally stabbed in the Nahalat neighborhood of Jerusalem on the Sabbath of the Matot Torah portion. Seven suspects, including teenagers and the mother of one of them, have been arrested in connection with the murder. The mother is suspected of facilitating communication between detainees and suspects and helping them evade capture after the murder. The killing was reportedly broadcast live to two young women, Shilat Huta, 19, and Linor Sasson, 50, both suspected of involvement.

Additionally, Ynet reported that Linor Sasson was convicted at the end of 2024 in a plea deal for running a high-interest loan scheme with her son, extorting vulnerable individuals who could not repay their debts.
