Hapoel Be'er Sheva Targets Portuguese Left Back Pedro Amador for 2026 Season

Hapoel Be'er Sheva is considering signing Portuguese left back Pedro Amador to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season. The 27-year-old defender currently plays for Atlanta United in Major League Soccer (MLS) and is seen as a potential replacement for Helder Lopes, who is expected to leave the club this summer. Amador developed in Sporting Lisbon's youth system and later played for Belenenses at youth levels. As a senior player, he appeared for 1º de Dezembro, Braga, and Moreirense, helping Moreirense gain promotion to Portugal's top division in the 2022/23 season. After four years with Moreirense, he transferred to Atlanta United in 2024, where he has played for two seasons. In 2025, Amador made 27 appearances and scored one goal for Atlanta. This year, he has featured in seven MLS matches and three cup games but has mostly been on the bench since Atlanta's recent return from the break. Hapoel Be'er Sheva coach Ran Kojukh is expected to integrate Amador into the team if the transfer proceeds.
