Hapoel Be'er Sheva continued shaping its squad for the 2026/27 season after announcing the signing of Marco Wolf on Sunday night. The reigning champion wants Miguel Vitor to stay for another season and is prepared to offer him a contract, but the defender must decide whether he is willing to return as a backup center back.

Club sources said, “Anyone who knows Vitor knows how emotional he is and how important Be’er Sheva is to him, but he has to make a decision with himself and his family.” The issue is not Be’er Sheva’s desire to keep him, but whether Vitor can accept a reduced role.

The club is also examining additional options at left back, although Helder Lopes remains in the picture. In parallel, Niv Yehoshua is expected to sign his contract formally as early as today.
