Hapoel Be'er Sheva Announces Training Camp Squad Without Miguel Vitor
Hapoel Be'er Sheva, fresh off winning the Israeli Premier League title, is shifting focus to the upcoming season as it departs for a training camp in Poland on Tuesday. The camp will prepare the team for the UEFA Champions League qualifiers and domestic competitions, featuring three friendly matches against European clubs Radomiak Radom (Poland), Omonia Nicosia (Cyprus), and Legia Warsaw (Poland). These games will help the coaching staff evaluate the squad ahead of the new season.
The team will return to Israel to host Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Super Cup on July 16 at Turner Stadium. Subsequently, Be'er Sheva will begin its European campaign in the second qualifying round of the Champions League against the winner of the tie between Icelandic club Vikingur and Hungarian side Győr.
The training camp squad includes most of the club's key players, but notable absences include defender Miguel Vitor, who will not travel despite recent progress in contract negotiations. Also excluded is Ayalon Almog, who is not in the club’s plans and is expected to leave. Injured player Samir Prahod will miss the camp due to a hamstring injury, while Lucas Ventura and Kings Kangwa are expected to join the team in Poland after completing their arrangements.
The full squad departing includes Marco Wolf, Ofir Marciano, Niv Eliasi, Yonatan Shani, Roi Levi, Guy Mizrahi, Yoan Stoyanov, Ofir Dudzada, Matan Baltaksa, Itay Rotman, Jibril Diop, Shlomi Dahan, Lucas Ventura, Emmanuel Osei, Eliel Peretz, Itay Hazut, Niv Yehoshua, Hamudi Kna'an, Amir Ganah, Zahi Ahmad, Mohammad Abu Romi, Yoav Koren, Amit Ohana, Igor Zlatanovic, and Javon East.
