Hapoel Be'er Sheva Announces Training Camp Squad Without Miguel Vitor
Hapoel Be'er Sheva, fresh off winning the Israeli Premier League title, is shifting focus to the upcoming season with a training camp starting Tuesday in Poland. The camp will prepare the team for the UEFA Champions League qualifiers and domestic competitions, featuring three friendly matches against European clubs Radomiak Radom (Poland), Omonia Nicosia (Cyprus), and Legia Warsaw (Poland). After returning to Israel, Be'er Sheva will host Maccabi Tel Aviv on July 16 in the Super Cup at Turner Stadium. The club will then begin its European campaign in the second qualifying round of the Champions League against the winner of the tie between Iceland's Vikingur and Hungary's Győr.
The squad traveling to Poland includes most key players, but notable absences remain. Defender Miguel Vitor will not join the team despite recent progress in contract negotiations. Additionally, Ayalon Almog, who is not in the club's future plans and is expected to leave, is excluded from the camp roster. Injured player Samir Prahod is also absent due to a hamstring injury, while Lucas Ventura and Kings Kangwa are expected to join the camp later as their transfers finalize.
The full squad includes goalkeepers Marco Wolf and Ofir Marciano; defenders Niv Eliasi, Yonatan Shani, Roy Levy, Guy Mizrahi, Yoan Stoyanov, and Ofir Dudzade; midfielders Matan Baltaksa, Itay Rotman, Jibril Diop, Shlomi Dahan, Lucas Ventura, Emmanuel Osei, Eliel Peretz, Itay Hazut, Niv Yehoshua, Hamudi Kna'an, Amir Ganah, Zahi Ahmad, and Mohammad Abu Romi; and forwards Yoav Koren, Amit Ohana, Igor Zlatanovic, and Javon East.
Be'er Sheva aims to use the camp and friendlies to fine-tune the squad ahead of a challenging season both domestically and in Europe.
