Pedro Amador Set to Strengthen Hapoel Be'er Sheva Defense After Varied Career

Pedro Amador, a left-back from Portugal, is expected to sign with Hapoel Be'er Sheva, filling the significant role left by Helder Lopes. Born in a Lisbon suburb, Amador's early career was challenging, moving through various youth teams before starting his senior career in Portugal's lower leagues. In December 2018, he signed with Braga, initially playing for the reserves before becoming a first-team regular after two and a half years.

In 2020, Amador moved to second-division Moreirense, where he became a key player but suffered a cruciate ligament injury after just four games, sidelining him for over a year. Upon his return, he helped the team reach the Portuguese Cup quarterfinals and served as captain in several matches. After his contract ended, he transferred to Atlanta United in Major League Soccer, where he was a fan favorite and team captain but struggled to secure a consistent starting position in his second season.
