Hapoel Be'er Sheva Signs Portuguese Left-Back Pedro Amador as Loops Replacement

Hapoel Be'er Sheva has secured a new left-back, signing 27-year-old Portuguese player Pedro Amador in the coming days to strengthen the squad. Amador will replace Helder Lopes, whom the club struggled to find a substitute for during the summer. After weeks of negotiations, the club convinced Amador and his agent to move from Atlanta United in the United States to Israel. The transfer is free, and Amador will not participate in the upcoming Champions League qualifier second leg against Vikingur next week, instead joining the Israeli Premier League squad.

Pedro Amador began his youth career at Sporting Lisbon before moving to Belenenses' youth teams. He started his senior career at a club named 'One December' before playing for Braga and then Moreirense, where he became a key player and helped the team gain promotion to Portugal's top division in the 2022/23 season. After four seasons at Moreirense, Amador transferred to Atlanta United in 2024, competing in Major League Soccer. In the current season, he has made seven league appearances and three cup appearances, while in 2025 he played 27 matches and scored one goal for the American club.
