Nauru Announces Embassy Opening in Jerusalem Following Diplomatic Talks
The island nation of Nauru, located approximately 4,000 kilometers from Hawaii, has announced plans to open an embassy in Jerusalem. This decision came after a meeting in Fiji between Nauru's Vice President and Foreign Minister Lionel Aingimea and Israeli Foreign Minister Gadi Eizenkot. The embassy is expected to open within the coming months. Nauru, a small island country covering about 21 square kilometers, has previously expressed a positive stance toward Israel, including supporting Israel in the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
