The 16th Sheep Band Announces Final Reunion Shows in Tel Aviv and Caesarea

Nearly two years after launching their reunion tour, the iconic Israeli band The 16th Sheep is set to perform their final shows. The farewell concerts will take place at the Tel Aviv Culture Hall on September 29-30 and October 1-2, followed by performances at the Caesarea Amphitheater on October 14-15. Tickets go on sale Tuesday at 4 p.m. via the Zappa website.

The reunion tour, titled "The 16th Sheep and Our Songs Too," was announced at the end of 2024, with the first show held in January 2025 at the Tel Aviv Culture Hall. This marked a significant return for lead singer Yehudit Ravitz, who had been on an eight-year hiatus. The show featured a mix of the band’s legendary album tracks and original songs from each member, with musical direction by Yoni Rechter and a recorded tribute to the late lyricist Yehonatan Geffen.

The band, consisting of Yehudit Ravitz, Gidi Gov, Yoni Rechter, and David Broza, achieved massive success with dozens of performances attended by hundreds of thousands of Israelis. Gidi Gov expressed surprise at the overwhelming demand for tickets and noted the multi-generational appeal of the reunion, with audiences spanning children to grandparents. He credited the show's success to the thoughtful production by Eti Anta and the creative collaboration between Geffen and Rechter.

Gov described the reunion as a beacon of light during difficult times, highlighting the emotional connection and nostalgia the band evokes. The final shows promise to be memorable events celebrating the enduring legacy of The 16th Sheep.
