Shock Grenades Thrown in Tel Aviv and Ramat Hasharon Amid Crime Family Feud

A series of shock grenade attacks occurred overnight across the Gush Dan area, including central Ramat Hasharon and northern Tel Aviv, as part of an ongoing violent conflict between crime families. Police reported that a stun grenade was thrown into the courtyard of a residential building in central Ramat Hasharon, causing no injuries or damage. Minutes later, another stun grenade was thrown near a building in the Kochav HaTzafon neighborhood of Tel Aviv, also without harm. Authorities suspect these incidents are linked to the feud between the Musli and Jarushi crime families.

Last week, a grenade exploded at the entrance of a building in Rishon Lezion, and two grenades detonated in central Tel Aviv overnight. Another grenade exploded in the Tzahala neighborhood of Tel Aviv, with police investigating possible connections to the Jarushi family. Additionally, grenade attacks, shootings, and arson attempts have targeted "Jafnika" sushi restaurant branches nationwide, believed to be collateral damage in the Musli-Jarushi gang war. The restaurant owner, businessman Barak Abramov, is not suspected of any wrongdoing.

In response, police have increased visible and covert patrols near the affected locations to prevent further violence and identify suspects. Recently, Yossi Musli, head of the Musli crime organization, was released to house arrest for five days along with three associates. Meanwhile, Issa Wahwah, a relative of the Jarushi brothers, remains in custody on conspiracy charges after surrendering to police. Khaled Hamada, also linked to the Jarushi coalition, had his detention extended for grenade attacks targeting Musli affiliates.

These developments highlight the intensifying criminal violence in central Israel, with law enforcement actively pursuing suspects amid fears of escalating gang warfare.
