Multiple Grenade Attacks Shake Tel Aviv and Surrounding Areas Amid Ongoing Criminal Feud

Israel is experiencing a wave of grenade attacks, with three grenades thrown in the Gush Dan area and another in Hadera on August 10, 2026. Two incidents in Tel Aviv occurred at addresses previously targeted, indicating a recurring pattern linked to a significant criminal dispute. Early in the morning, a military-grade fragmentation grenade exploded near a residential building on Tzvi Tadmor Street in Holon, causing property damage but no injuries. Police bomb disposal experts collected evidence at the scene.

Later, a live Israeli military fragmentation grenade was found at the entrance of a luxury building on Shai Agnon Street in northern Tel Aviv. The bomb squad safely neutralized the device, and police began investigating, reviewing security footage and gathering testimonies. This address had also been targeted in two similar incidents last month, highlighting an ongoing conflict involving a resident.

A third grenade, a standard Israeli stun grenade, was discovered in the courtyard of a luxury tower in Ramat Aviv Gimel, Tel Aviv. Police and bomb disposal units responded promptly, neutralizing the grenade and collecting evidence. This location had also seen serious incidents last month and is currently under investigation by the Tel Aviv district's central unit.

In Hadera, a live fragmentation grenade was found near a gas station on a door leading to several businesses. Police and bomb disposal teams secured the area and neutralized the grenade. Authorities are conducting an intelligence-led investigation, treating the events as criminally motivated.

A senior police official told Maariv that the continuous leakage of standard Israeli military grenades from IDF bases fuels this violence. These grenades sell on the black market for about 2,000 shekels each, with the cost of hiring armed assailants to deploy them doubling that amount. The official emphasized that as long as these grenades remain accessible, preventing such attacks will be challenging. The incidents have caused widespread fear in luxury residential areas and entire neighborhoods, serving as threatening messages from criminal elements.
