New Poll Shows Netanyahu and Gadi Eizenkot Losing Support as Trooper and Hendel's Party Crosses Threshold

A new poll released by Kan News on Sunday reveals a decline in support for both Likud, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Yisrael party headed by Gadi Eizenkot. For the first time in a Kan News poll, the party led by Hili Trooper and Yoaz Hendel surpasses the electoral threshold, securing four seats. According to the poll, Yisrael remains the largest party with 22 seats despite losing two, while Likud also drops two seats to 21.

The party Beyachad, led by Naftali Bennett, gains 15 seats, and Otzma Yehudit receives 10. Both the Democrats and Yisrael Beiteinu secure nine seats each. Shas and United Torah Judaism each hold eight seats. The Religious Zionist Party and the Trooper-Hendel party each have four seats. The Arab parties Hadash-Ta'al and Ra'am each maintain five seats. The Blue and White-Dedi Simchi alliance and Balad fail to cross the threshold.

In bloc terms, Netanyahu's bloc loses one seat, while Eizenkot's bloc reaches 59 seats, including Trooper and Hendel's party but excluding Arab parties. Despite Likud's decline, Netanyahu leads Eizenkot in suitability for prime minister, with 36% versus 35% support. Public opinion on government and opposition performance is critical: 64% rate the government's war management poorly, and 80% of opposition voters give a negative rating to the outgoing opposition. Netanyahu has also launched a sharp attack on opposition leader Yair Lapid.
