US Completes Sixth Consecutive Night of Airstrikes on Iran Targeting Bridges and Military Sites

The US military announced it has completed a wave of airstrikes on Iran, marking the sixth consecutive night of American aerial attacks ordered by President Donald Trump. The strikes targeted dozens of Iranian military sites, including air defense and coastal surveillance installations, logistical infrastructure, and naval capabilities.

According to US Central Command, the attacks involved fighter jets, drones, and warships delivering precision munitions. Iranian state media reported that five bridges in southern Iran and an airport in the southeast were hit. Additional strikes targeted cities in western Iran such as Bustan and Lorestan, the Hamidiya area in the southwest, and naval and air bases near Bushehr. Iranian news agencies also reported attacks on a communications tower in Bandar Abbas and sites near Sirik.

Iranian state television reported at least seven fatalities from the US strikes on the southern bridges, with explosions also heard in the southeastern port city of Chabahar. Prior to the strikes, the US informed Israel of plans to expand attacks to include infrastructure and energy facilities. Israel is preparing for potential Iranian retaliation, with officials warning Iran would pay a heavy price for any attack.

In response to the US airstrikes, Iran launched drone attacks against US military positions in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar, and earlier attacks targeted Jordan. Kuwait reported intercepting 32 drones. Iran claimed to have struck US logistical and assembly points in Kuwait using "Arash" drones. Meanwhile, US Central Command reported diverting three commercial ships attempting to breach the US blockade of Iranian ports and disabling a fourth vessel to enforce the embargo.

The ongoing escalation highlights rising tensions in the Middle East, with over 50,000 US troops deployed across the region amid fears of further Iranian retaliation and broader conflict.
