US Launches Sixth Consecutive Night of Strikes on Iranian Military Targets
The United States conducted a sixth consecutive night of air and naval strikes against dozens of Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance sites, air defense systems, military logistics infrastructure, and naval capabilities. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced early Friday that American forces, comprising fighter jets, drones, and warships, executed precise strikes as part of an ongoing campaign to degrade Iran's military capabilities and hold it accountable for recent attacks on commercial shipping.
CENTCOM emphasized that over 50,000 US troops remain deployed across the Middle East, maintaining readiness and lethality. Iranian media reported that among the targets hit were Iran's Iranshahr Airport, a bridge connecting Bandar Abbas to Shiraz, and a railway station in Bandar Abbas. Concurrently, Iran claimed to have launched drone attacks against US helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft at the Al-Sakhir base in Bahrain.
Meanwhile, Kuwait reported activating its air defense systems to intercept missiles and drones, and Qatar experienced loud explosions in its capital Doha due to missile interceptions launched from Iran. Prior to the strikes, the US informed Israel of plans to expand the current military campaign, with future targets expected to include critical infrastructure and strategic energy sites across Iran.
Iranian military spokesman Abu al-Fadl Shakarji warned that the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iran's sovereignty and is vital for regional security. He threatened severe retaliation if Iranian infrastructure is damaged, stating, "If our infrastructure is hit, all infrastructure in the region will become our target." He affirmed Iran's resolve to continue delivering strong responses to US actions, claiming the enemy has suffered heavy blows.
