US Launches Ninth Consecutive Night of Strikes on Iranian Military Targets

The United States conducted its ninth consecutive night of airstrikes against Iranian military targets on the night between Sunday and Monday, aiming to degrade Iran's capabilities threatening maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed to have launched ballistic missile attacks on US military aircraft stationed at Aqaba Airport in Jordan, causing "heavy damage" to transport and command planes. Iran also reported attacks on two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, with a British maritime agency confirming a ship fire in the area. Prior to the US strikes, air raid sirens sounded in Bahrain and Kuwait, and the US embassy in Bahrain warned of potential Iranian attacks, urging vigilance.

The US military reported discovering a third American casualty in Jordan, adding to two soldiers killed over the weekend in Jordan and Iraq, bringing total US deaths since the conflict began to 16. Israel's security establishment currently assesses no immediate Iranian missile threat to its territory but maintains high alertness. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the US remains open to a diplomatic solution with Iran.
