IDF Destroys Over 1,500 Terror Infrastructure and Kills 500 Militants in Bint Jbeil Operation
During Operation 'Roaring Lion,' Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) units from Divisions 98 and 91 jointly encircled and entered the terror strongholds of Bint Jbeil and Ainata. Division 98 forces took control of Bint Jbeil within about a week, focusing on destroying terror infrastructure, neutralizing explosive threats, and eliminating militants. After completing their mission, these forces moved on to other sectors.
Simultaneously, Division 91 forces entered the area to consolidate and strengthen operational control. They continue efforts to fully clear remaining terror infrastructure and threats to Israel's security. Bint Jbeil has historically served as a Hezbollah terror hub, from which hundreds of attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians were planned and executed.
To date, the combined efforts of Divisions 91 and 98 have resulted in the destruction of over 1,500 terror-related facilities and the killing of more than 500 militants. The IDF also uncovered hundreds of weapons embedded within civilian infrastructure, including terror group headquarters, missile launchers, and weapons depots.
These operations aim to eliminate ongoing threats and secure the region from future attacks against Israel.
