Cyber Company CEO Sentenced to 10 Years for Sexual Crimes Against Children

The Central District Court in Lod sentenced Itay Levi, 52, former CEO of a cyber company, to 10 years in prison for sexual offenses and privacy violations against children aged 4 to 12. Levi was convicted based on his own admission and also received a suspended sentence and was ordered to pay 258,000 shekels in compensation to the victims. The sentence reflects a plea agreement reached between the prosecution, defense, and the victims' families.

According to the amended indictment, over approximately 18 months, Levi secretly filmed children partially or fully naked, stored the images on his phone, viewed them for sexual gratification, and then deleted them. On two occasions, he exposed the genitals of one child and achieved sexual satisfaction. Additionally, he forced two children to orally engage with him, using various excuses to justify his actions.

The court condemned Levi's actions as deeply repugnant and harmful to both the children and their families, who expressed their pain during the trial. Emphasizing the severity of sexual crimes against minors, the court stressed the need for strict punishment for deterrence and retribution. However, it accepted the plea deal due to Levi's confession, lack of prior convictions, and his full compensation payment to the victims before sentencing.

In its ruling, the court addressed the victims' parents, acknowledging their suffering and expressing hope that the conclusion of the criminal process would help them find some peace and strength to rebuild their lives and secure their children's futures.
