Cybersecurity CEO Sentenced to 10 Years for Child Sexual Abuse and Privacy Violations
The Central District Court in Lod sentenced Itai Levi, CEO of cybersecurity firm Carnelius, to 10 years in prison for sexually abusing children aged 4 to 12. Levi, 50, pleaded guilty to multiple offenses including filming children partially or fully naked without their knowledge over a period of about 18 months. He recorded videos and photos which he transferred to his mobile phone, later viewing them while masturbating. Additionally, the court found that on two occasions, Levi sexually assaulted two of the children by forcing oral sex. Alongside the prison term, he received a suspended sentence and was ordered to pay 258,000 shekels in compensation. The court described the crimes as deeply repugnant and abhorrent.
